Finding a great restaurant should be effortless — no matter what language you speak, what neighbourhood you're in, or what you're in the mood for. But existing tools fall short: search results are cluttered with ads, reviews are gamed, and language is a constant barrier for millions of Canadians.
We built OpenCan to fix that. Instead of typing keywords and hoping for the best, you describe what you want — "I'm craving something sweet" or "dim sum open now for a family Sunday lunch" — and our AI finds the right match.
We launched in Toronto in 2026 with over 20,000 restaurants and are expanding across Canada. Every city we add gets the same depth of coverage and the same commitment to honest, community-powered reviews.
